Swab Test

To undergo a test, reservation is compulsory:

Tests are performed at the facilities of:

In the two hours preceding the test the patient must not have eaten anything, smoked, drunk liquids other than water, brushed their teeth or used mouthwashes or similar.

The swab has a cost of 70 Euros (including revenue stamp).
For security reasons we only accept payments with:

Swabs are reported within 24 hours unless re-checked/invalid sample.

A text message will notify you when the report is ready.
You can download the report via the email sent to the address you gave us at the reception desk or go and collect it at one of our testing centres.

A surcharge is applied for home collection and calculated on a case-by-case basis.

the test searches for Coronavirus SARS2 virus RNA in the oral-nasal-pharyngeal swab or other respiratory tract sample according to WHO guidelines. It then directly detects the presence of the virus. People may be asymptomatic and have never had symptoms. This test  will reveal if the person is contagious.

Molecular test on a saliva sample can be considered an option for the detection of Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 infection:
- preferably in the first 5 days from the onset of symptoms;
- in asymptomatic individuals subjected to repeated screening for professional reasons (booking by sending an email to mdl@lammlab.it) or other types, in particular if very elderly or disabled individuals are screened;
- in pediatric patients.

Do the swabs performed at your facility have the same validity as those performed through the ASL?
The LAMM Analysis Laboratory is certified for carrying out the molecular diagnosis of Coronavirus SARS 2 infection and is on the list of authorized laboratories drawn up by the Ministry of Health. The results are sent directly to the regional SISPC platform where they can be consulted by family doctors, paediatricians and by the hygiene institute. In the event of a positive result (detected), the latter takes charge of the patient, advising him of the behaviour to adopt, including the end of the quarantine. So yes, the swabs performed at LAMM have the same validity as those performed at the ASL.

Are the swabs taken at your facility valid for returning to school?
Since the swabs performed at LAMM have the same validity as those performed at the ASL, they are valid for returning to school and must always be authorized by the paediatrician.

What to do in case of fiduciary isolation?
If you are at home in fiduciary isolation after returning from a trip, you can come to us to have the swab at the authorized centres or we can come to your home and perform the swab at home.

I can't show up, do I have to cancel the appointment?

What are the reporting times for the Covid swab?
Swabs are reported within 24 hours unless re-checked/invalid sample.
Can I do a serological test and swab on the same day?
They can be done on the same day. Specify that you must take the serology test at the time of booking.
